CONTEST DURATION
1. The “Give yourself a BREAK” contest will begin March 14, 2011 at 8 a.m.
(EDT) and will end Feb 29, 2012 at 12:00am (Eastern Time). “The Contest Period”
ELIGIBILITY
2. The contest is open to all Ontario residents aged 18 and over at time of entry in the contest with the exception of employees, and their family members, of The Verge Insurance Group (Verge) and its affiliates.
In addition, eligible participants must agree to receive a quote on their personal home or personal auto insurance from one of the following Verge Insurance Group Branches in the Niagara Region,
St. Catharines Branch
Virgil Branch
Port Colborne Branch
Welland Branch
One quote may be comprised of quotes from multiple insurance companies for more than one type of insurance. However, only one entry per person is eligible.
Only quotes for NEW business to The Verge Insurance Group will be eligible. Re-Quotes for renewal comparisons are NOT eligible. Quotes for changes, additions or substitutions on existing home and auto policies are also NOT eligible.
HOW TO ENTER
3. During the contest period, a person must meet the eligibility requirements stated herein. The quote must be provided on or before February 29th, 2012 12:00am.
4. Only one entry per person is admitted.
5. Requests for quotes can be made by calling any one of Verge branch offices or by requesting a quote via the websites at www.vergeinsurance.com or www.reimervergeinsurance.com or www.whitesinsurance.ca.
6. No purchase is necessary.
7. Odds of winning are dependant on the number of entries received.
TO BE DECLARED A WINNER
8. One Draw from the entries will be conducted on Wednesday March 7th, 2012 at 11 a.m. in St. Catharines, Ontario.
9. The selected entrant according to the provisions herein will be contacted by telephone by Verge. The entrant will be declared the winner (hereafter called “Winner”) if he/she meets the requirements stated in these Rules.
DESCRIPTION OF THE PRIZE
10. The winner will be provided with a $5,000 Travel Voucher from CAA Niagara Prize delivery will occur at a Verge branch.
11. The Prize is non-transferable, non-exchangeable, non-refundable, and must be accepted by the winner as awarded.
12. The Travel Voucher must be redeemed at one of the five CAA Niagara branches.
13. The Travel Voucher must be used to purchase a trip, it has NO cash value.
14. Before being declared a winner, the selected entrant will be required to sign a standard declaration and release form confirming compliance with the contest rules and acceptance of the prize as awarded. By entering the contest, entrants consent to the use of their name and/or photograph, if required, in any publicity carried out by the Sponsor, without compensation. The travel costs incurred by the Winner to obtain his/her prize are the responsibility of the Winner.
GENERAL RULES AND REGULATIONS
15. The Winner has until March 31st, 2012, to claim his/her Prize. If the person whose name is drawn is not eligible at the time of the draw or if he/she fails to claim the Prize within the prescribed time limit, Verge reserves the right to choose a recipient from among the participants who did not win a prize.
16. From March 7th to March 26th, 2012, the name of the Contest Winner will be available at The Verge Group, situated at 131 Ontario Street, St. Catharines, Ontario L2R 6W2, between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday to Friday. During this time you will be able to see the winners on our website at www.vergeinsurance.com
17. Verge, its partners and their respective shareholders, administrators, executives and employees, as well as any other agency related to this Contest are released from all liability connected to the Prize and the Contest and provide no guarantee
in its regard.
18. Verge may, at its own discretion, disqualify any individual from this Contest in the event it deems, at its sole discretion, that such individual has attempted to damage, tamper with or corrupt the operation of this Contest, or if such individual is in violation of the terms and conditions of these Rules.
19. Contest rules are available at the offices of Verge from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and on the website at www.vergeinsurance.com.
20. Under no circumstances, including negligence, shall Verge be liable for any direct, indirect, special or consequential damages that result from the use of or inability to use the Prize. These limitations or the exclusion of liability will not apply to the extent that any applicable statute prohibits such limitations or the exclusion of liability.
21. Decisions by Verge are final and binding.
22. This contest is subject to all applicable municipal, provincial and federal laws.
23. Promotion. By participating in this contest, each winner authorizes the Organizers and their representatives to use his/her name, place of residence, photographs, image, voice and/or statements regarding his/her Prize for advertising purposes (such as internet and print ads) without any compensation.
